Rules (copied from last year):

- Before each European match day, pick 12 players eligible to play for
one national team (or a group of national teams). No more than 5
forwards, no fewer than three defenders. Select a captain. Every goal
scored by one of your Players is worth one point, every goal scored by
your captain is worth 2 points. Your total score is equal to the total
number of goals, plus a Formula 1-style Bonus for placement within the
round.

Submit your teams before kickoff of the first leg (Tuesday October 1).

There will be seven match days

1-3 Oct: UChL2, UEL2, UCoL1
22-24 Oct: UChL3, UEL3, UCoL2
5-7 Nov: UChL4, UEL5, UCoL3
26-28 Nov: UChL5, UEL5, UCoL4
10-12 Dec: UChL6, UEL6, UCoL5
21-23 Jan: UchL7, UEL7
29-30 Jan: UchL8, UEL8 (double points)


Additional rules:

- You can make unlimited substitutions to your squad, as long as the
club of both the subbed in and subbed out player have not kicked off
their match yet.

- Players' nationality is based on FIFA eligibility for national team
rules. If a player is eligible to play for more than one NT, he can be
selected by managers of each of the NTs for which he is eligible.
Example: Kemar Roofe in 2020-2021 was eligible for both England and
Jamaica. Since then he has declared for Jamaica, so he is only eligible
for Jamaica (or CONCACAF).

Yes. Should have included him but I tend to get all the Johnsons mixed
up. There is an American one somewhere too, no?

Lawrence scored for the Gaels, and I missed one by Watt (Scotland). Did
not have time to run through TNS, Larne and Shamrock Rovers looking for
likely suspects. Also was sceptical about their ability to score at all.


BTW can I changed my (so far scoreless) Waffles and Windmills to just
Waffles. Looking at the number of players just in the CL according to
the site you provided, the combined total is larger than eg. France,
Spain or Brazil (so why can't I pick any scorers?).
Keeping track of just the Belgians will be easier, and there are enough
of them.

You can certainly do that. This of course lowers your chances of
winning, but you should end up with a higher efficiency score.

By the way, you were quite unlucky with Openda (c): he hit the post
twice versus Juve (not that I'm complaining...)

I'm also thinking of restricting the Wakas to just representatives of
Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria and Cameroon (the four highest ranked
CAF NTs today according to FIFA). But I guess I'll want to keep the
Guirassy goals this round.

If nobody has any objections I will enter 3 teams. The good old Benelux
team (Waffles and Windmills), the CONACAF Rockers, and a team of Celts

Some, like Alaba or Schlager. But it's mostly just slim pickings,
especially in attack. Both Salzburg and Sturm usually have just one
Austrian in the line-up, and they're both defenders.
